In 2008, we recognized the importance of keeping our Alumni and Alumni Parents involved with our teams. With the help of some of our former players and parents, we have begun to form our group. A recap of our desires is as follows:
Goals
- Create an organization of former MASH Soccer players for social, leadership and fund-raising purposes. By-products of establishing this association will include heightened awareness of our Team and a sense of “community” within MASH Soccer.
- Create a database of MASH Soccer Alumni via our new registration system to keep Alumni in contact with the Team(s) and with each other
- Keep Alumni informed of happenings within the Team(s)
Purpose
- Heighten awareness of MASH Soccer
- Create sense of “community” within the Team
- Assist in Fund Raising for the Team for players “in need” and for special capital projects determined by the Booster Club
- Create interest for alumni for future volunteer positions, sponsorships, and support.
- Participate in the operation of the Team for special events (i.e. Tournaments, Fundraisers, etc.)
Organization
- Will be “self-run” but under the auspices and guidance of the Mechanicsburg Soccer Booster Club
- A new MASH Soccer Alumni position will be created in the Mechanicsburg Soccer Booster Club
- When deemed necessary, alumni members should also be placed on the various Mechanicsburg Soccer Booster Club Committees including the Banquet.
- A dedicated Alumni webpage in the new MASH Soccer website
